![]() ![]() ![]() Why is that? It's because the things of God were becoming common place and habitual in my life, and God used this man to fan the flame inside of me. The transformational, revitalizing love of God was pouring out of someone right next to me and I almost didn't recognize it. In the above paragraph I said, "I almost missed it." That is a pretty scary statement. It attracts people like a magnet. Now here is the challenging part. You can just look in their eyes and see that there is something different, something supernatural going on. This is especially noticable in people who have just given their life to Christ. It is absolutely contageous when someone is going through life that way. However, when I really took the time to observe, and watch his interaction with others, I realized that he was truly just radiating with the Holy Spirit. Quite frankly, that pushed me away at first. I almost missed it. I mistook his energy and enthusiasm as an attempt to gain attention and notoriety from others. At first, this guy sort of took me by surprise. He has challenged me in a very beneficial, life giving way and doesn't even know it. It is impossible to miss.Recently, I made a new friend that has really challenged me in this regard. While the bible obviously conveys this principle in verses such as Matthew 5:16, it's always a blessing to see it in action. We get to see this principle at work when we look at someone and just see life radiating from them. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).As Christians, we often talk about living our lives in such a way that others see God's light shining through us.
